My name is Jason Gant and I am the Director of Student Ministries at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. I work with the best staff team in all of youth ministry reaching 6th grade-college life. I also lead the "Vibe" worship venue on Sunday mornings in the Student Center. I just released my first book (a ministry guide between Resurrection and Abingdon Press designed to encourage and equip youth ministry leaders in the smaller church setting). I am married to Scharme, and we have two daughters.

Fall Kick-off series challenging students to live a "wild life" with Jesus. We had a surprise guest in "Sunshine", an albino Burmese python. I am inviting guest wild animals in this entire series. We blindfolded our MS and HS minister's with a few of there trusting adult leaders. Turned out great in the message video on blip here. Great energy in the worship music sets, fun opening mixer with the band playing the office theme music to go along with our poll question of the night-Favorite fall TV show?

Looked deep into Jeremiah's call from God in the first chapter. The almond tree blossoms, the boiling pot, and the fortified city being the elements Jeremiah saw when asked by the Lord, What do you see? I challenged the students to seek God in everyday experiences, especially in nature and creation systems. Focused on the Burmese Python hatchlings that don't come out of the their eggs until after their first shedding. Asked the students what fear they need to shed in order to come out of their shell into God's calling? Great response from the students both in person and on facebook.

All in all great night! Our staff and volunteer teams were on top of every detail for excellence in relational ministry!

Thanks to Jason over at House of Scales in Kansas City, Kansas. He returns next week with another wild animal!
