new conferences

I am beginning to work on two new conferences..

One will be next April and will gather Youth Pastors from the largest 100 UM churches (by worship attendance) in America here in Kansas City. This was announced by Adam at the largest 100 Senior Pastor's gathering in Atlanta this past week. I have many hopes for this gathering. At the same time Dan Entwistle (Resurrection's Managing Executive Director) will host the Executive Pastors. What a mix of two worlds, should be fun!

The Second I am calling..."Confabulation". This will be in May and will target those in their first to fifth year in full time youth ministry. It will be a more intimate gathering with no more than 20 "imbedding" in with my staff team here at Resurrection. There will be workshops on strategic thinking/planning, healthy relational ministry, and others. There will be "conversations" around some of the concerns we all face, along with some fun and fellowship. We will launch

"Confabulation", the so what and what now of youth ministry at Leadership Institute in October.
